Stay Safe — Glass Injuries Are Serious

Before anything else: don't walk near broken glass in bare feet or open-toed shoes. Clear children and pets from the area immediately. Don't try to pull out large embedded glass shards — leave them in place. If someone is cut, apply firm pressure with a clean cloth and call 911 if bleeding doesn't stop within 5–10 minutes.

Photograph Everything Before Touching It

This protects your insurance claim. Take photos of the full broken area from a distance, close-ups of the break pattern, any object that caused the break, and the surrounding frame and window opening.
